Neck and Brow Lift
Neck Lift
Through neck lift surgery, Dr. Arnold Breitbart can remove fat via Liposuction, tighten muscles, and remove excess skin to enhance the neck’s natural curves. Neck lift can be an ideal cosmetic surgery procedure for patients who have lost weight as well as those who want to enhance the contour of the neck region.
Typically, the skin on the neck sags and shows signs of aging before the face, giving the appearance of jowls or lax and wrinkled skin. After a neck lift procedure, patients generally look many years younger with a defined and contoured profile.
The procedure for neck lift surgery typically lasts between one and two hours and can be combined with Liposuction, a facelift, or a brow lift. Patients can usually return to work within one week after the procedure.

FAQ's on Neck Lift
Q: Does a neck lift improve the appearance of a face?
A: The neck region may show aging faster than the face. Neck lift surgery can dramatically improve the appearance of the neck. This results in a more natural appearance while providing improved contour and definition.
Q: Can neck lift surgery remove bands on the neck?
A: Many people develop neckbands also referred to as “turkey waddle” around their necks, which can be unsightly because of the sagging and loose skin. Neck lift surgery addresses this, by tightening the skin and underlying muscle, and reshaping the contours of the area.
Q: How long does it take to recover?
A: The recovery time is usually about one week. Most patients experience some discomfort after surgery that can be relieved through painkillers. Strenuous activity should be avoided for at lest two weeks. There will be some initial swelling which will gradually subside over time.
Q: How old do you have to be to have neck lift surgery?
A: Neck lift surgery can be performed in young adults, as well as in more elderly patients.
Brow Lift
A brow lift or forehead lift performed by Dr. Arnold Breitbart can raise sagging skin on the forehead while reducing wrinkles to restore a more relaxed and youthful appearance.
Depending on the patient’s goals, brow lift surgery may be carried out using either the open technique or the endoscopic method. It is important to discuss these options with Dr. Breitbart to determine which procedure is best suited for you.
During endoscopic brow lift surgery, Dr. Breitbart makes three to five short incisions across the scalp. A tiny camera is then inserted through these incisions along with small instruments that Dr. Breitbart uses to tighten the tissues. In open brow lift surgery on the other hand, one long incision is made across the scalp and the skin is lifted to tighten the tissues. The incisions can typically be hidden behind the hairline where they will not be visible after surgery.
Sutures are usually removed within five to seven days. Patients can return to work after sutures are removed, but should avoid strenuous activity and exercise for at least three weeks. FAQ's on Brow Lift
Q: When are results visible?
A: Results are immediately visible but you should allow adequate time for healing. Full results are evident within a few months.
Q: What does a brow lift address?
A: A brow lift can reduce the creases that develop across the forehead and along the bridge of the nose between the eyes. Brow lifts improve frown lines, while repositioning sagging brows to create a more youthful and alert appearance. When brow lift surgery is combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as eyelid surgery, facelifts or skin resurfacing techniques, the results can be dramatic and very pleasing to the eye.
